Hey everyone. Sorry it has taken me so long to get to the blog entry out, but Man, Have I ever been busy!
2007 started out with a bang as I headed off to sunny Anaheim, CA to take in the 2007 NAMM convention. Now for those of you
that aren't familiar with what NAMM is , it stands for the National Association of Music Merchants and works to promote
education , leadership and working relations with music stores, manufacturers and other people associated in the music related
businesses. NAMM holds 2 conventions every year, one in the Winter which is held in the Anaheim Convention Center, and a
smaller show which starting last year was held in Austin, TX. The summer show rotates in locations and usually is about 1/2 the
size of the winter show.
I went to meet up with my "Gear Guy" who was peddling his MICS at the Audix booth and made plans to hook up after the show
to discuss "business" . Lofty is a great businessman... Thats for sure!
One thing about NAMM is there are a TON of hot guys everywhere! I love the long haired ones so there was one in every
corner! YUMMY!! NAMM is notorious for rock stars milling about the place so instantly that was on my mind. One good way to
find them is to look for lines. The longer the line, the bigger the star... Or so I thought.
The first line I came to was 70's pop star Rick Springfield. I was kind of surprised to see Rick (aka Noah Drake) there, or that he
was even alive. No, I knew he was alive, just forgotten. Oh well nothing to do so may as well stand in line. I made
some friends chatting to 2 guys , one of which was getting an autograph for his "sister". Um hm sure... Your sister. By that time
my feet were hurting like a mutha and no Rick! What the???? Rick has no right to make me wait.! I wanted to leave but about
the time I was taking off he showed up. The LEAST I could do is let him get a pic with me. I am giving that way! Rick was cute
still for 50 something years old, but he looked kinda sloppy. That disappointed me, plus his lips were kinda "shiny: which was a
tad of a turn off. Oh well.

Also signing autographs was Nick Cantanese of Black Label Society and Eddie Ojeda of Twisted Sister. Nick not only posed for a photo but he also
autographed a poster. Now when most rockstars sign posters they sign to Suzi or Rock on or some other sappy saying but Nick signed his " Dime Rules".... huh?
What does Dime have to do with me or BLS? Maybe he just ran out of sappy sayings. Who knows.? I later ran into my girls ,Jen and Aleen and Eddie passed by
so I yelled at him to get his ass back and take a photo, which he did. Thanks Eddie and tell Twisted Sister Jeff Pilson's wife Suz ithe rock chick said Hey!

Just minutes after I saw Eddie I also saw Ex Megadeth guitarist Dave Ellefson. Dave was
lookin good and was so kind to take a pic with me, but I did have to tell him I was Dave
Mustaine's long lost sister and that I could maybe pull some strings to get him back in
the band. Just Jokin. I really told him I am banging Dave M and he was a shoe in for
his old job back. Am I frickin clever or what??

Eddie and The Twisted Sisters
It was getting later in the afternoon and it was time for a drink! I hooked up with Alby, kami and Greg and we made our way over to party central aka... The Hilton bar
to get the 2nd party started. Luckily when we got there at 4pm no one was there yet so we landed this bad ass corner with a sectional sofa that was by the bar. I
sprawled across it so no one else could sit there except me and anyone I chose who was worthy. I was waiting for my Gear Guy Lofty to show up with one of his clients
who he had to do some business with. Man, was that ever a bad choice! Like you want to associate your clients and US???? The guy actually was a pretty cool guy
and seemed to be having some fun. I know Lofty sure was!

Milling around by the bar was Matt Sorum (GnR, Velvet Revolver) . Now the last time I went to NAMM I saw Matt and he
looked really short. This time he was tall. Whats up? Maybe I shrunk. Anyway, Matt is a cool guy and Alby wanted a pic
with him but I busted a move and jumped in before Alby could.

Now about that time Alby was feeling a little left out even tho he was entertaining himself by
sticking his camera under hot girl's dresses and taking pics without them knowing. Yes. even tho
the guy has a hot chick he must not be getting any at home. Now Alby is a kick ass
photographer and did a great job interviewing so I had to hook him up with someone other
than his hot chick Kami. Lofty wasnt busy at the time so I managed to pawn him off on Lofty
until I needed him. They did make a beaatiful couple and I think Lofty loved the fact that

Now since Lofty was busy entetaining himself taking Jaeger shots and feeling up Alby I was feeling a bit neglected so I had to make my own fun. Since NAMM is
packed with hot guys I managed ro find some alternate forms of entertainment, which i might add wasnt too hard to do.

Summertime" which was popular when i was about 8 years old. Jerry was hanging with
another English dude who took a liking to my spankings. He was a cute guy for an "older man"
and he did have a nice tight pair of jeans on so it was all my pleasure! Just when i thought I
was making headway with this guy here comes Lofty again looking to snag my man ONCE
AGAIN! Damn you! Do I not pay you enough to be my gear guy? Oh wait, thats right , You do it
for free. Maybe it was his English accent that turned him on.... Who knows? Maybe he just
wanted to sing a tune with Mongo Jerry. Who knows with that guy?

By this time it was getting late and I knew that with Lofty around I was never gonna get laid so I decided to bust out of the joint. My feet were killing me and all I
wanted was a foot massage. Lofty who knew his job as the gear guy was on the line, decided to make up for lost time and soothe my tired feet. We headed off to have
a nightcap before I hit the sack. I guess Lofty was tired as well after being a HO bag like me, so he decided to persuade me to give him his non paying job back with
flowers and jewelry. It works EVERY TIME! Good going babe and yes, you can have your job back at Suzis Rock page, not because you do a kick ass job but because
you know how to flatter the boss. Poor Alby.

After I had gotten a taste of the "Rock Star" stuff I wanted more. I headed over to the Marshall booth and look
who was there... None other than the AMP man himself, Jim Marshall. Now Jim has been doing the AMP thing
for awhile now and I had to let him know how much I adore my Marshall amp shirt that I wear all the time. In
fact the thing has holes in it. I love wearing it to the grocery store cuz I always meet dudes when I wear it!

Okay, I was on a roll now. The next stop was Kerry King of Slayer who was signing autographs with
Tony Campos of Static X. Kerry was a nice guy as Tony was, and I did mention to Tony that Static X
was coming to San Antonio soon. Oh boy! Like he gave a shit! .... NEXT. I did tell Kerry that I wished
him good luck on his Grammy nomination and he seemed glad that I knew Slayer was nominated. Hey
Kerry... Ya know I DO have friends that are voting members in the Recording Industry. Did I say
friends? Im sorry, I meant friend and I havent talked to him in awhile so I guess I cant sway that vote.

various musicians playing at different booths at
different times. I ran across a cool rockabilly
band that was doing their thing and the singer
was shirtless so I managed to snap a few pics.
He even posed for me!. Maybe he thought i was
someone influential! HA Faked that guy out!

Now anyone who knows me knows I hate to fly. Hate it! Fear of heights, fear of screaming
brat kids who wont shut up and fear of never getting to my destination.
I had to put all this aside unless I want to stay in driving distance of any place I am
traveling . My flight took off at 0600 so I needed to be at the airport for the orifice check at
0400. TOO early. I was way too excited to sleep on the plane and didnt eat either so I was
in good shape for hours of walking! When I arrived I hooked up with my staff members
Alby and Kami and we headed off to the show.
When I booked the hotel the guy told me that it was "walking distance". Well I guess it is if
you are into walking long distances and blistered feet. We finally made it over to the CC
and got our badges and headed into the show. The place is HUGE with every music
manufacturer there displaying their new products for 2007
By this time my feet were bleeding from those damn boots. I can look at those things now and tears come to my eyes. Plus when I left TX it was like 20 degrees
outside and I was wearing a hot sweater with some fake fur on the collar. The fur is supposed to be a mink replica but after the flight and all the damn walking I
did lit looked more like frickin roadkill. We decided to head back to the hotel to change and get our last member Greg, who had a later flight. I quickly took off all
that hot clothing and opted for a wife beater shirt and clogs. At that point I didnt care. It did have flames on it so I felt like I fit in now. When we headed back to
the show Jeff Pilsom was signing autographs at the Dean Markley booth. Jeff who now plays with Foreigner and used to play with Dokken is one of the nicest guys I
have ever met. He did a really nice interview with me for Suzisrockpage.com and we talked . I introduced myself and believe it or not.... He remembered me.
See,,, I AM somebody dammit! In fact Jeff said he would do another interview with me soon. Jeff I am holding you to that one!!!
